Defect details: The law related to Default View went into effect on May 1, 2018, but the design before enforcement was reflected and the rear monitor did not meet the default view setting conditions. Therefore, when the user sets the camera display settings (brightness, contrast, black level, tint color) low enough to not see the monitor and then switches gear to reverse, the monitor is not reset to the required initial value, so the rear monitor may not be visible. Defect details: The law related to default view came into effect on May 1, 2018, but the design before enforcement was reflected as is and the rear monitor did not meet the default view setting conditions. Therefore, when the user sets the camera display settings (brightness, contrast, black level, hue, color) low enough to not see the monitor and then switches gear to reverse, the monitor is not reset to the required initial value, causing a recall due to the possibility that the rear monitor cannot be checked.

Correction method: After inspection, if necessary, replace the audio head unit and update the rear monitor system software <*This measure is a recall implemented by changing the corrective action method as it was further confirmed that vehicles subject to the recall, which has been in effect since December 2019, may be equipped with an older version of the audio head unit. Therefore, if the action was taken at an official Nissan service center before receiving the notice, no additional action may be necessary.
