Defect details: Due to an issue with the improper installation position (layout) of the stop lamp switch mounted on the back of the brake pedal, chattering of the brake light relay occurs under certain conditions when the brake pedal is used repeatedly, which reduces the relay's contact life over time and causes the brake light switch to malfunction. The recall is due to the possibility that the relay may become stuck in the ON position, which may result in gear changes being possible even if the driver does not step on the brake pedal and the brake light continuing to come on while driving, which may interfere with the safe operation of vehicles following.
