Defect details: □ In the case of Toyota Motor Korea Co., Ltd., if the wheel alignment device (tie rod) is less tightened after aligning the rear wheels in the RAV4 4WD (626 units) and 2WD (223 units) passenger cars manufactured by Toyota of Japan and imported and sold by Toyota Motor Korea Co., Ltd. between `09.2.27 and `10.8.31, the tie rod may be worn and separated. This is because it was discovered that there is a possibility that safe driving may be hindered by the driver not driving in the intended direction.

Correction method: □ Owners of the Toyota cars will be replacing tie rods for cars with rust in them at the Toyota Motor Korea Co., Ltd. service center starting August 30, 2012, and additional nut brackets will be installed for all vehicles in November 2012. ＊Parts (nut brackets) are being secured and additional installation will be provided after separate notification in November.
